Science Shore completed its first ever fib poetry contest for children. The unique contest idea originated from our regular contributing poets, Ms Vidya Shankar and Dr Sangita Kalarickal who brainstormed and acted upon the idea, beautifully coordinated with excellent efforts. We wanted to give opportunity to children to explore this new, fascinating fib poetry form and encourage learning. We enjoyed great participation from children. We sincerely thank and applaud Vidya and Sangita for supporting Science Shore and also for making this a great success !
The competition was blind judged and also subject to the criteria of fib sequence. Since the concept of syllables was difficult for most children, we relaxed the rule a bit to allow the participants to use words as well, for the fib sequence. Our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful judges, Ms Santhosh Bakaya and Ms. Sumita Dutta Shoam for their kind and excellent support in offering their precious time, expertise and thorough evaluation of each and every child's poem.
